| Areal station opened in the years 1910-19 with the inauguration of the first part of the Guarulhos branch line to the station in Jaçanã (formerly called Guapira). The station building wasn’t put up until 1927; until that time there was only a stop with a roof. The station was demolished when São Paulo’s Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul was widened. The Carandiru subway station is now found near this spot. |
