| Passagem bridge over the Rio Tubarão, in Santa Catarina, circa 1905. Part of the Estrada de Ferro Dona Teresa Cristina, this bridge was 164 meters long, with six 24-meter spans and two 10-meter spans. In May 1887 a major flood damaged five of the eight spans and traffic was interrupted for almost two years. A new concrete bridge was later erected. |
