The platform of Rio Grande’s Central station in a postcard dated 1909. The station building was inaugurated on February 2, 1884, and acted as headquarters for the Estrada de Ferro Rio Grande a Bagé until 1905, when the railway’s  administrative offices were moved to Santa Maria.
